A Journey Beyond the Sea
Week-long sailing adventures through the Saronic, Peloponnese & Cyclades — with hiking, history, and unforgettable company.
“Syn-” (συν-) is the Greek prefix for together — and it’s also how we say plus. Sailing+ is about more than just sailing. It’s about sharing moments, meals, stories, hikes, and horizons — together.
We are Serkan and Leonidas — hikers, climbers, lovers of history, gastronomy, and Greece. With our trusted skipper Takis and his sailing boat Foxtrot, we design week-long adventures where sailing meets hiking, wine, archaeology, and unforgettable company.
At Sailing SYN, we’re not a faceless agency — we’re real people with names, stories, and a genuine passion for sharing the beauty of Greece with you. When you come aboard with us, you’re joining a small circle of trust and care. We’re there for you around the clock — not only to ensure your comfort and safety, but to offer local insight, gentle guidance, and a sense of home on the sea. You’ll always feel looked after, without being led by the hand. Each day has a purpose, but there’s room to breathe. You’ll explore quiet villages, hidden coves, and mountain trails — with enough space to wander and unwind, but within a thoughtfully curated journey. And while we don’t provide meals, we’ll gladly guide you to the best local spots to eat, drink, and discover flavors you’d never find in a brochure. That, too, is part of the adventure. This is travel that’s personal, grounded, and real.
A Week of Discovery by Sea and Land
Spend 7 unforgettable days sailing along the Saronic Gulf and Islands, Eastern Peloponnese or Western Cyclades weaving through coastal gems, island havens and land paths with 3–4 anchor points along the way. Each stop is a doorway to something different:

September is our favourite month!
We still have spots available in September — and honestly, it’s one of our favourite times to be out on the water. The summer rush has faded, the Meltemi winds have softened, prices are kinder, and the islands feel like they belong to you again. The sea stays warm enough for swimming, the trails are comfortable to walk, and the tavernas have time for you.

Serkan
I’m originally from Cyprus, and I’ve been living in Greece for nearly twenty years. I spend much of my time between the mountains and the sea — hiking, climbing, and sailing through the landscapes that define this country. I hold certifications in mountaineering and rock climbing from the Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing, and I’m a registered sportsman with the PPC Staff Sailing Club. By training, I’m a historian with a PhD in the history of technology. I’ve taught in universities in Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus, but these days I’m more often found working with mountain and island communities across Greece, helping to develop develop sustainable energy projects. I’m also a self-taught wine lover, always curious to discover what each place has to offer — in taste and history.
Leonidas
My name is Leonidas Sourlas and I was born in Larissa, nestled between Mount Olympus and Mount Kissavos. Coming from a rural family, the mountains, fields, and bees were my playground from a young age. That early connection with nature laid the foundation for a life spent outdoors.
I took my first climbing and mountaineering classes in 2007 while I was a student. Since then, I’ve spent countless days hiking, skiing, and climbing in Greece and the Alps. In 2019, I became an International Mountain Leader as a member of the German Mountain and Ski Guides Association (VDBS). Since then, I’ve been guiding hiking trips in Greece and abroad.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with several mountain activity agencies, leading people through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Europe. Nowadays, I also design and lead my own trips.
With a deep passion for nature, I aim to share my knowledge and love for the outdoors—ensuring that each participant enjoys a safe, enriching, and memorable hiking experience. Whether traversing the rugged peaks of the Dolomites or wandering the scenic paths of Greece, my mission is to offer authentic, immersive journeys for small groups of like-minded explorers.
